Commission B Supports Stabilization of Garlic and Chili Prices

This is because the price hike on chili is also one of the factors triggering inflation

The Jakarta DPRD's Commission B strongly supports the efforts of Jakarta Provincial Government together with the Agriculture Ministry's Food Security Agency to stabilize the price of garlic and chili through market operations.

According to Abdul Azis, Chairman of the Commission B, it purposes to meet the needs of garlic and chili at affordable prices and it really needs to be appreciated.

"This is because the price hike on chili is also one of the factors triggering inflation," he expressed.

During recess, he explained, one of the citizens' aspirations was about the price hike on garlic and chili.

"The city as a public servant has responded quickly by taking steps to market operations to ensure stock availability and affordable prices," he explained.

He went on to say that the city also required collaborating with law enforcement agencies to minimize a price spike.

"If there are persons playing here, we will act on them," he told.

Similar statement also stated by the Commission B Secretary Pandapotan Sinaga.

"We have to make sure the stock to stabilize the price of chili and garlic," he closed.
